Nearly all business owners share a common goal at exit: achieving personal financial independence. The Exit Magic Number is a financial analysis that defines exactly how much net, after-tax capital you need to extract from your business before exit to hit this target. Unlike a traditional valuation exercise, your Exit Magic Number is not about what the business is worth. It is about the amount you need to live the post-exit life you envision. If your Exit Magic Number exceeds your company's current valuation, work will be needed to bridge the gap. If lower, you may have greater flexibility and negotiating strength. This clarity helps throughout the exit planning process.

The NAVIX Map

The NAVIX Exit Map is the foundation of our process. It organizes the major issues business owners must address before they can exit successfully and illustrates how each decision shapes the path forward. A total of 20 key checkpoints along the timeline, each representing a critical decision or deliverable required to prepare both the owner and business for exit. Rather than working through the NAVIX Map in a strict sequence, we work with you to prioritize what needs attention first and design a path based on your particular exit strategy, whether selling to an outside buyer, selling internally, passing on to family, or winding down the business.
